Privacy Policy

OilMart FSM (“the App”) and the OilMart India service (“the Service”) are tools that
petrol-pump dealers and their staff use to run day-to-day fuel-station operations — sales, shift
reconciliation, inventory, attendance and accounts. This policy explains what information we
collect, why, and how it is protected.
Who this is for
The Service is a business tool used by authorised dealership owners, managers and staff. It is not
a consumer product and is not directed at children. You access it with credentials issued by your
dealership administrator.
Information we collect
- Account & identity — your name, login username, role, the station(s) you are
assigned to, a securely hashed password, and (if you enable it) a two-factor authentication secret
which is encrypted at rest.
- Operational data you enter — fuel sales and meter readings, tank and delivery
records, daily reconciliation, prices, credit accounts, lubricant stock and financial entries for
your station.
- Receipt photos (camera / photo library) — when you choose to attach a photo of a
pump slip or receipt, the image is uploaded and stored against that record. The camera is used only
when you take such a photo.
- Location (GPS) — when you mark attendance, the App reads your device location at
that moment to confirm you are at the station. Location is used only for attendance check-in/out and
is not tracked in the background.
- Device / notifications — if push notifications are enabled, a push token is stored
so we can send operational alerts (e.g. low-stock warnings). No advertising identifiers are used.
- Website enquiries — if you submit the contact or brochure form on
oilmartindia.com, we collect the name, email and phone you provide so we can respond.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the Service for your dealership.
- To authenticate you and keep your account and station data secure.
- To produce the reports, reconciliations and statutory registers the Service generates.
- To send operational notifications you have enabled.
- To respond to enquiries you send us.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
App permissions
- Camera / Photos — only to capture or attach a receipt image when you choose to.
- Location — only to record attendance check-in/out at the station, while you use the App.
You can decline or revoke these permissions in your device settings; the related features will simply
be unavailable.
Sharing
Your data is visible to authorised users of your own dealership according to their role. We share data
only with infrastructure providers that host the Service on our behalf (e.g. server hosting), and only as
needed to run it. We may disclose information if required by law.
Security
- All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; two-factor secrets are encrypted at rest.
- Access is role-based and scoped to each user’s assigned station(s).
Data retention
Operational and account records are retained for as long as your dealership uses the Service and as
required for tax and statutory record-keeping. On a verified request from the dealership owner, we will
delete or return account data where we are not legally required to keep it.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at
the address below or through your dealership administrator. Revoking camera or location permission is done
in your device settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new
“last updated” date.
